[on the parents who had raised her from birth and adopted her aged 3] I'm much more interested in their childhood due to our decades-long difference. I imagined what it was like to be young in the'30s and '50s, far more than kids that were my age. Personal life. Olsen revealed her sexual orientation in 2021, on the 16th April. In 2022 Olsen admitted that her relationship with her lover Adele Thibodeaux had ended and she was dating the long-time musician and friend Meg Duffy for a few months in 2020. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Olsen began performing in coffee bars in the city during her teens, before expanding her repertoire and gaining access to the community of artists who share similar views. After 2006, she moved to Chicago where she collaborated with the singer-songwriter from California Emmett Kel, who is part of The Cairo Gang. The album she released prior to that All Mirrors from 2019 featured dark almost gothic synth-rock and an affecting excursion into orchestral pop. Big Time, the first Olsen album in which she sings with conviction of sexual desire, is music that is a part of been around for a long time: Country. It does make sense.
